Star Wars The Force Awakens Move Review, Perspective from a Fan
I had been a fan of Star Wars since I am a kid. I grew up watching the movies from Episode IV-VI and Epidoe I-III where my kids join with me in watching the movie. Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens is a long awaited sequel to the series and the main question is was it worth all the wait and the hype?
We watched Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens at the newly opened Gateway Dolby Atmos Cinema. It made watching the movie a whole lot better and a whole new experience of course. (Read about Gateway Dolby Atmos Cinema). After watching it here is a review of a Star Wars fan...

Too much hyped. First and foremost, I would like to tell that th producers over hyped the movie so much even projecting in the trailer that this was all about the Skywalker family including Luke and Leah. I am particularly disappointed to find out the length of appearance of Luke in this movie and when I saw it, I was like, "So that's why Mark Hamil was not allowed to talk so much about his role in Episode VII."
Overpowering characters. So she has the force within her, but does that explain how a first time pilot , Rey (Daisy Ridey) was able to maneuver the Millennium Falcon in such unbelievable ways? Does the strength of the force also explains how on earth was she able to become so good at fighting without even taking any injury and even better than Kylo Ren (Adam Driver)? She even managed to control Kylo Ren when she first used the force... wow the force is really strong in this one.
Deceptive Trailers. The trailer of Star Wars The Force Awakens was all meant to deceive viewers and fans of the real plot and story of Episode VII. It was so deliberate that if you already watched the movie you will know. The trailer is a come on not only for this movie but also for the next episodes.
Okay it's not totally deceptive but in some way it is, don't hate me ok? :D
Amazing Effects. I would like to congratulate the film for creating awesome and outstanding effects for this film. This is a lot easier than Episode IV-VI of course since this time they have the aid of computer animation and green screen of course. Salute.
Good Fight Scenes. Really commendable fight scenes specially with the spaceships outmaneuvering and battling one another. The fight between Kylo Ren and Rey was also fine though I find it really a bit tamed considering that Kylo is from the dark side.
Shocking Twists. You would see unexpected twists in this one including a supposed death of one of our beloved characters, however is he really dead since Kathleen Kennedy is saying another thing. "There will be a handful of new cast members in Episode VIII but also all the cast members you see here tonight will be in it as well," Kennedy announced on December 17, 2015 at the London premiere for The Force Awakens.
The destruction of 3 planets simultaneously was also shocking for me not because of that fact but because The Republic was among the 3 that was destroyed and mind you they do not even have a defense for that. Wow! No shields of any kind ey and they watch it happen as well.
Star Wars Episode VII Questions. Here are some questions which we hope to get answered in the next episodes:
- Why did Kylo Ren turn to the dark side?
- What really happened to Luke Skywalker?
- Is HE really dead and if not how did HE survived?
- Who is the main person behind The First Order?
- Is Rey the only Jedi or is Finn a Jedi as well?

Watch out for this man in Star Wars Episode VIII.
Star Wars VII The Force Awakens Verdict Review: I would give this movie a 7/10 rating. I like it very much and I love the film but simply it is not the sequel that I am expecting and for me it could have been a lot better.
