Joey de Leon Apologizes for Depression Comments
Comedian and actor, Joey de Leon issues an apology and clarifies his statement about depression during an Eat Bulaga show airing. De Leon, said in a live telecast previously that depression are just made up and is not a big deal. After saying that netizens reacted immediately, most of them negative towards such statement.

Yung depression, gawa-gawa lang ng mga tao iyan. Gawa nila sa sarili nila." (Depression is just something made up by people. They do it to themselves.)
This was Joey's statement in response to the winner of their segment in Eat Bulaga. Maria Christina, the winner of the segment's mom is said to be suffering from depression. During that segment, Maine Mendoza came to his defense and said that it is not a laughing matter, however, knowing Joey who wants to make a joke out of it went on.
"Hindi, huwag n'yo suportahan. Gawa-gawa lang nila iyon." (No, don't support it. They just make it up.)
Joey de Leon's Apology
A day after the controversial comment, Joey de Leon, apologized and clarified his statement. It is not known why he made the comment the other day but one thing is clear, this man accepts mistake and apologizes for it.
