Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao Wins! What's Next? Ricky Hatton vs Pacquiao?
The convincing win of Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao against the reigning WBC Lightweight Champion David Diaz sealed history for the Pinoy Champion as the First Filipino to win the Lightweight Division and also to claim championship in four different divisions.
Now that its over speculation is spreading that the next target for Manny "Pacman" Pacquio will be Ricky Hatton. A lightweight-super lightweight champion who fell short of defeating Floyd Mayweather.
Pacquiao showed how he can be deadly and how he can indeed improve and outmatch his opponent. He also surprised many with his speed, accuracy and style. It was a different Manny Pacquiao that went out in the ring... it was indeed a fighter prepared to win the bout.
Hatton is a two-time IBF and IBO Light Welterweight Champion, having relinquished the IBF belt, only to step back down to the weight class and beat Juan Urango. He was the WBA Welterweight Champion, but relinquished this title on August 31, 2006. Hatton is also the former WBU, WBA Light Welterweight Champion and WBC, WBA, WBO Inter-Continental Light Welterweight Champion, and current Ring Magazine Light Welterweight Champion.
Ricky Hatton's current Win-Loss record is 44-1 with 31 KOs, his only loss being that to Floyd Mayweather. Manny "Pacman" Pacquio on the other hgand has 47 wins, 3 losses and 2 draws with 36 wins by knockout.
If this happens it could probably be the most difficult and most sought for fight for Pacman and could be his dream fight before finally retiring.
Congratulations Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao!
