Yahoo!7: No Yahoo is Not Changing (yet)
Today, I guess most of us are stunned to see a new front page for Yahoo and no they are not changing their interface and front page (yet). Yahoo!7 is a version of Yahoo! used in Australia.
Yahoo!7 is one of the most comprehensive and engaging online destinations for Australian consumers and advertisers. Formed as a 50-50 partnership between the Seven Network Limited (ASX: SEV) and Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq: YHOO), Yahoo!7 brings together the successful Australian internet business, Yahoo! Australia & NZ, and the online assets and television and magazine content of the Seven Network, one of Australia's leading media companies.
The company also combines the strengths of Yahoo! search and communications capabilities and its global internet network, with Seven's rich media and entertainment content and marketing capabilities.
Observing how the main page is arranged I would say that this is way better than the regular Yahoo!.
Changes could still be in its early phase since during the 3rd Quarter of 2009 Microsoft acquired a considerable interests in Yahoo! thus we might see some major changes soon.
