COMELEC Decides on Disqualification Case of Perlas, Thursday
The Commission on Election (COMELEC) will finally decide on the appeal of Nicanor Perlas on Thursday, January 14 at 9:00a.m. In a phone conversation the COMELEC said that a decision will be reached by that time.
This means that Perlas will again be absent on yet another presidential forum scheduled Thursday, the Carlos P. Romulo Presidential Forum.
The forum is hosted by the Carlos P. Romulo Foundation and the ABS-CBN News Channel.
Earlier the COMELEC said that they would release decision on disqualification cases by the first week of January but apparently they once again failed to follow their own schedule.
Perlas who calls himself the bearer of new politics and advocates for a new Philippines based on inner change and cultural revolution was slapped with a disqualification last December 2009.
