MMDA Changing Color from Pink to Green Because of Teodoro?
Metropolitan Manila Development Authority Chairman Oscar Inocentes divulged the plan to change the MMDA’s structures and facilities color from pink to green under the agency’s “Metro Green” project which Malacanang aired no opposition to.
It can be recalled that green is also the color of the administration standard beared Gibo Teodoro.
Olivar said that the color similarity is mainly coincidental but added that it should be appreciative if eventually it helps Teodoro. A reaction which many sees as an eventual use of government machinery and capacity to further Teodoro's campaign.
He clarified as well that only new and faded structures will be painted green. The new MMDA management sways that they wanted to instill the importance of protecting our environment and give focus to the issue of Climate Change.
Pink is an identified color with former-MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando who is now running as Vice President under Dick Gordon's Bagumbayan Party. Metro Manila had been known worldwide for this impeccable choice of color.
As a bit of trivia HongKong also uses pink and blue for road signs and structures.
