Terror Attacks Greets 2010

Would it be the sign for 2010? A fresh terror attack in Pakistan greet this new year as a suicide car bomb exploded in the middle of men playing Volleyball in northwest Pakistan. 60 people were killed and 52 were wounded.

The terror attack happened at Lakki Marwat district of Pakistan's North West Frontier Province.

It was also reported that 8 houses in the neighborhood collapse and the blast was felt from 11 miles or 18 kilometers away. An estimate of more than 600 pounds of explosives were used.

A total of three violent incidents happened in Pakistan during the New Year. The second attack was when a U.S. drone fired at suspected militants while the third wjem a remote-controlled explosive struck a car and killed five civilians, according to a representative from the Frontier Corps and a political administration official. It happened around 10 a.m. in the Salar Zar subdivision, in the Bajaur agency of the North West Frontier Province.
