North Korea to Declare War if Sanctions are Made
The North Korean government warns that they will not hesitate to declare total war if new sanctions are given to them. This was their reaction after the investigation of the South Korean torpedo incident found out that the torpedo was North Korean made.
Investigators said that the torpedo which sinked their war vessel last March and killed 46 people were found to contain parts from North Korea. The vessel was cut into two and caused the worst post-war incident since the Korean War.
The United States and the United Nations had already issued possible sanctions over North Korea, saying that the findings was troubling. However, China which is a known ally of North Korea only stressed the importance of keeping the existing peace in the region. China did not mention anything about the findings.
The findings of South Korea about the sinking incident adds up to the already fragile relationship with North Korea. North Korea is also being held liable for its continued nuclear enhancement program which the West and its allies sees as a threat to peace in the region.
