Fil-Am to be Nominated to California State Supreme Court
Perry Diaz of Global Balita was just informed by a very reliable source that a Fil-Am will be nominated to the California Supreme Court on Thursday, July 22. The nomination will be made by California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The nomination aims to fill up the vacancy caused by the retirement of California Chief Justice Ronald M. George on January 2, 2011. Schwarzenegger also has until September 16, 2010 to nominate the next State Chief Justice and be able to include his nomination in the November state ballot for the position of Chief Justice.
Perry Diaz source however did not specify whether the Fil-Am nominee will be for the Chief Justice or just the Justice position.
