UFC 116: Lesnar vs Carwin Winners and Highlights
Brock Lesnar defeated Shane Carwin on the second round of the UFC 116 mixed martial arts event at the GM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Carwin had been the interim heavyweight champion wen he defeated Frank Mir at UFC 111. These two were previously scheduled to face each other during UFC 106 but Lesnar had to back out because of an illness that prevented him from training.
Lesnar defeated Carwin at 3:52 of round 2 with an arm triangle choke submission move and Carwin tapped out. It was a big victory for Lesnar who now gains the respect once more at the UFC.
The next UFC event will be UFC 117: Silva vs Sonnen which will be held on August 7, 2010 at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California, United States. Before this a UFC live event will be held on August 1 and will feature Jon Jones of the United States vs. Vladimir Matyushenko of Belarus.
