X-Men Upcoming Movies Preview
X-Men First Class on 2011, Others to Follow - Twentieth Century Fox had already revealed that X-Men First Class will begin filming this August and will be released June 3, 2011. The plot will be centered on the early discovery of mutants by friends Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr.
Xavies was an English man who had wealthy origin while Lensherr or Magneto came from a prison camp and his family was killed during the Nazi era. When they began finding out about mutants they established the first school for mutants however each of them have a different reason.
This will be the story of X-Men First Class and there are actors already casted to play various roles. Among them are James McAvoy as the young Professor X, Michael Fassbender as Erik Lensherr or Magneto, Alice Eve as Emma Frost or White Queen, Nicholas Hoult as Hank McCoy or Beast, Caleb Landry Jones as Banshee, and Lucas Till as Havok.
Besides X-Men First Class other films lined-up is X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2. David Hayter wrote the script for this sequel and Hugh Jackman already confirmed that shooting will start sometime in sometime in 2011.
Another origins that might be developed is X-Men Origins: Magnetto, however since it was envisioned in December 2004, the wealth of other stories coming it had placed it in the backroom of the queue for X-Men stories. A source however said that it might still get made in the next five years.
X-Men 4 is also in the works. This story will be a continuing story of the regular X-Men storyline whose last story was X-Men: The Last Stand. During a Fox Blu-ray press event last September 2009, Lauren Shuler Donner said that she is cooking up plans for the fourth installment of X-Men. The latest is that X4 might be filmed following the completion of X-Men: First Class.
