Asus is Giving Away Free Optical Disk Drives with the EeePC 1005P

Asus announced that they will only be giving the free Slim Optical Disk Drive (ODD) bundled with the Asus EeePC 1005P until August 31, 2010. The portable ODD is very useful specially when you want to burn CDs on the go. THat's not all however because the Asus EeePC 1005P is a laptop with one of the longest battery life ever.

Asus EeePC 1005P can run up to 8.5 hours in a single charge and if you will utilize its maximum capabilities this 10.1-inch laptop can last up to 6 hours. The unit also comes with either a genuine Windows XP or Windows 7 operating system plus a 250Gb Hard Disk Drive.

Expensive? Well I think this is not expensive. The Asus EeePC 1005P is currently priced at a promo rate of P19,900. This is a small and lightweight laptop wit a cool and stunning piano black finish. The keyboard layout is also very good with a big "shift" key.

However,m according to a review with the Asus 1005P you will not be able to watch HD movies at 720 or 1080. It also has no optical drive built with it but if you purchase it before August 31, 2010 then Asus will be giving out a free ODD.
