Venus Raj's Major Major Controversy and Her Major Major Problem
The word "major major" seems to be in the world vocabulary since the Miss Universe 2010 Pageant ended. Some blames Venus Raj for her answer and says tat it caused her the crown while others says that she did her best. However, Venus Raj did experience lots of major major problem in his life and one major major mistake was something that could have prevented her from even being in the Miss Universe 2010.
If not for her reinstatement, Bb. Pilipinas second runner-up Helen Nicolette Henson could have represented the Philippines in the Miss Universe 2010. Venus Raj was stripped off her crown as Bb. Pilipinas Universe after Bb. Pilipinas Charities found inconsistencies between her birth certificate and the personal account of her birth.
Venus was born in Doha, Qatar out of wedlock and when she was brought home in the Philippines by her mother, she was registered as a Filipino-born child from a Roman Catholic parents. This is perhaps done in order to maintain a good reputation and avoid any future repercussion on Venus. Her early life was also very hard and she endured all that in order to achieve great things.
The moment she was stripped off the crown her fans and supporters conducted online petitions, signature campaigns, Facebook fan pages, blogs, forums and petition letters to the Miss Universe Organization to report the irregularities.
Finally, in April 10, 2010, the Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. reversed their decision and reinstated Venus Raj as the Bb. Pilipinas Universe and allowed her to compete in the Miss Universe 2010.
Currently, Raj holds the record as the first-ever dethroned Binibining Pilipinas to have successfully attempted for a reinstatement of a Binibining Pilipinas crown.
This is Venus Raj's major major problem, if shared during the contest it could have won her the title of MIss Universe 2010. Why? Because it shows the true power and dedication of a woman.
However, the pressure and spur of the moment is great during the event and we think that Venus already did her best and she deserves our congratulations. Congrats Venus Raj!
