"God Did Not Create the Universe"
"God did not create the universe!" This was the shocking revelation of the new book of British theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking and U.S. physicist Leonard Mlodinow. The new book entitled, "The Grand Design" tries to answer deep questions of like and existence like why do we exist? Did the universe need a creator? – and consider whether there’s a single unifying theory that can explain all the forces of nature.
"The Grand Design" will be released this September 7 and will surely spark more debates about the existence of God. For sure atheists will be citing this book in their arguments that indeed there is no God. For the catholic church this might even be more controversial than Dan Brown's "Da Vinci Code."
"Because there is a law such as gravity, the universe can and will create itself from nothing. Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing, why the universe exists, why we exist," Hawking writes.
