Paul Cézanne on Google Doodle
Ever wonder what's the strange art bugging Google Doodle today and perhaps until tomorrow in the United States. Well, the Google Doodle or custom Google logo you are seeing is an art work made by Paul Cézanne. He is French artist and Post-Impressionist painter whose work laid the foundations of the transition from the 19th century conception of artistic endeavor to a new and radically different world of art in the 20th century.
He is an artist which revolutionized arts and painting and is considered o form the bridge between late 19th century Impressionism and the early 20th century's new line of artistic enquiry, Cubism. Googld Doodle is celebrating Cézanne's birthday, January 19.
Google is known for changing its Google logo on the main page to commemorate people and various occasions. If not for him, Braque, Gris, and others could not have experimented with ever more complex multiple views of the same subject, and, eventually to the fracturing of form. In essence he is the greatest inspiration of modern art.
