Moammar Gadhafi Speech on Libyan Television: I Will Die a Martyr
Libyan President Moammar Gadhafi continues to defy protesters as he appears on national television and throw criticisms at his supporters. He said that he will not step down but instead he will die as a martyr.
"This is my country, the country of my grandfathers," Gadhafi said in remarks carried live on Libyan state television. He vowed to die "a martyr" in his country.
Gadhafi blamed the current unrest in Libya to foreign intelligence services and agents whom he say wants to destabilize the country. While saying the speech he included one from a book of laws which seems to give legality to the execution of unarmed civilians that is happening now in Libya.
