"Doray: The Peacemaker" starts PeaceTech TV live shows
PeaceTech, a non-profit organization that builds peace among the world’s youth will starts their PeaceTech Web TV today with the first live web telecast scheduled on March 17 at 10:00am. "Doray: The Peacemaker" will be the first live program to air on PeaceTech TV. The program is a puppet show which is also aiming to be a "Peace Education Kiddie Show."
Doray: The Peacemaker will feature a story which tackles one of PeaceTech's basic mission and goal which is to lessen prejudice and discrimination between Muslims and non-Muslims. The show is part of the Peace Project presented and approved by PeaceTech by the Batch 1 graduates of the Peace Through Technology Training Program.
The members of this batch which calls themselves as "Mainit Clash" includes: Abdulrauf, Nesreen C.; Abdulrauf, Tasneem C.; Antonio, Camille G.; Balenti, Sri Hasniyah C.; Castro, Aldrin C.; Deushensame, Gimena P.; De Chavez, Arjay D.; Estacio, Rogelio Jr. C.; Lucman, Norjannah P.; Manicad, Rosielle S.; Masalonga, Carla Jill V.; andRodelas, Ariane Joy A.
PeaceTech recognizes the need to promote an understanding of the causes and consequences of conflicts in the Philippines and the common challenges young Filipinos face. Our goal is to build understanding among the youth throughout the Philippine archipelago.
PeaceTech’s programs include the following: a) High-school classes in partnership with the Department of Education; b) Videoconferences between Muslim and non-Muslim youth in Southeast Asia; c) PeaceTech’s youth movement called “PeaceTech Embassy;” d) Workshops and; e) the PeaceTech online community: www.peacetech.net .
