Grace Poe is qualified to run for president says Supreme Court, do you agree?
The Supreme Court of the Philippines declared Presidential aspirant Grace Poe as qualified to run for President of the Philippines. In a 9-6 decision in favor of Poe the SC declared Poe as natural born Filipino citizen and with sufficient residency to run.
Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno and 8 other justices voted in favor of Poe. The other justices are Presbitero Velasco Jr, Diosdado Peralta, Lucas Bersamin, Jose Perez, Jose Mendoza, Marvic Leonen, Francis Jardeleza, and Benjamin Caguioa.
The Supreme Court decision effectively reversed the earlier decision of the Commission on Elections cancelling Poe's certificate of candidacy (Coc).
